Thanks for this article, a lot of useful tips. What I usually do is start off with a very simple slide without visuals and iterate from there and add more visuals if time allows. The simple slide usually contains only bullets in a simple grid structure

Yes, this is a really good advice. Having some good version of the slide very quickly, even if it simple, but you can have a meaningful discussion with leadership or clients.

Fantastic post Ryan. Very useful. Are you familiar with Firm Learning on YouTube? He covers these sorts of topics too. I'd recommend checking his work out if you get a chance.

I think it's also interesting to see how MBB firms create slides vs independent consultants. The approach is very different.

Hi Richard, thanks for commenting. This is a big deal for me. I have been following you for some time and really like your content.

Yes, I know firm learning resources, Heinrich is doing a great job there. Although, I am trying to focus specifically on MBB consultants of <24 months, and go deeper in helping them with their operating model to become truly successful.

I would love to catch up with you and learn from your experience and can share mine as well. Would you like to chat? If yes, please, feel free to ping me on become@distinctive.plus.

I definitely made the mistake with thinking "iteratively" at the start of the job - thanks for writing this resource :)

Thank you Ved, it's really obvious, but as many obvious things, they become so only in hindsight :)
